What is an Aneurysm?

Aneurysm Is a serious condition that could happen to anyone. Her is what Wikipedia has to say about the Aneurysm definition

“An aneurysm is a localized, abnormal, weak spot on a blood vessel wall that causes an outward bulging, likened to a bubble or balloon.[1] Aneurysms are a result of a weakened blood vessel wall and may be a result of a hereditary condition or an acquired disease. Aneurysms can also be a nidus (starting point) for clot formation (thrombosis) and embolization.”

We all think were healthy and that is good but this can happen to healthy people or healthy looking people. Not knowing how our bodily parts are when it comes to heredity or some rare sickness makes it impossible to know if one of this condition might happen to us.

This makes it all the more important that we keep our blood pressure and cholesterol under control. Doing the things in fitness and diet to control and have an all healthy lifestyle which we are going to be talking about.

    • Thanks for the comment, Phyllis, I appreciate your kind words but what did the post do for you? Did it make you think about how this may happen to you? A very serious condition that we don’t realize our body may be doing to us. We know its good to know but we have to think more than just that.

  1. I’ve heard the term many times before but never knew what it was. You did an awesome job outlining what an aneurysm is in this article, plus the signs and symptoms. Again, I knew very little about these in the past and thought they just happened out of thin air without signs or symptoms.

    • Thanks for the comment, Todd, but these things can happen without warning also and do most of the time. Aneurysms are not talked about too much unless they have affected your life in some way. This is what makes it so important to bring this subject out to the public to get reckonized more. With some work we might be able to make a difference in somebodies life.

  2. Aneurysms are very scary! I read that Aneurysms happen to all walks of life including professional sports players. Thank you for the info man!

    • Thanks for the comment, Jeremiah, yes aneurysms are scary because of the deadly conditions that come from them. You know what is so scary about them is that they can happen to any body from all walks of life. The terrible thing is people just don’t know about them.

  3. This is great information and you guys should continue to put out more. The descriptions of symptoms, illustrations, and how to treat are helpful. I had no idea Aneurysms could happen in places other than the brain. Thank you for putting out quality information.

    • Thank you for the comment, Justin, this is our aim to keep putting these informative articles out. we love your comments on our posts and need more daily to help us keep bringing them to you. The input we get helps us improve each one we write. Aneurysms can happen in any part of the body that’s what so scary about them.

  4. I know all about aneurysms and it is something that has had an impact on my life. I lost my oldest son (at age 21) to an aneurysm. He lived in a different state, or I would have made sure that he had his symptoms checked out, because after he passed away I found out that he did indeed have a lot of the symptoms you see with a brain aneurysm. People need to pay attention to their body and what is happening. If something doesn’t feel normal, it probably isn’t. Better safe than sorry. I miss my son everyday, and I can’t get him back, all I have is memories.

    • Thanks for the comment, Leahrae, I’m so sorry to hear about your son and want to spread this information so people will not take it for granted. When people ignore symptoms then they are not listening to their bodies, they are taking it for granted and that scares me. I Pray that the Lord gives you comfort for your tragedy.

  5. Hi Fred, and thanks for another great article.

I know aneurysms are often undetected, but it’s good to know some symptoms if anything ever happens.

I agree that keeping your blood pressure down, as well as cholesterol, is so important to good health. Thankfully, we have a very pro-active doctor.

I enjoy your articles and believe it’s important to put out this kind of information. Forwarned is forearmed as they say!

    Cheers,
    Suzanne

  6. Thanks, Fred for the article. You never know when an aneurysm is going to happen. My husband had a widow maker heart attack and survived and he was healthy. Ex-military and was active all the time. So, it can happen to anyone. Take care and be healthy.

    • Thank you for the comment, Kelyee, something like this is something that’s hard to prepare for because of the simple fact that we it is random. The only way to feel better about it is to keep putting into our bodies the stuff that helps keep our blood flowing through our veins and arteries without hesitation.
