  • Hi Fred,

I have heard of vitamin K, but had no idea what it does. According to your review, I eat almost all of the foods you have listed so I think I'm good!

Thanks to your detailed review, I now know what it is and that I'm getting the proper intake for it naturally.

I subscribed to your website and am looking forward to reading more.

    Patsy

    • Thank you, Patsy, for the comment. Vitamin k does our body good in many ways we don't even think about. It is easy to get in our diet with everyday foods. Thanks for subscribing to my website now you can get all the updates that come along so you won't miss out.

  • Hi Fred, and thanks for this post.
This isn't a vitamin I think about, lol. But it's good to know why it's important. Thankfully, I think I get what I need from the foods I eat.
My bone density tests show thinning though, so I think I'll ask the doctor about my vitamin K levels.
    Thanks again Fred,
    Suzanne

    • Thanks for the comment, Suanne. Most people don't think about vitamin K and that's including me too. Now since I know more about the K vitamin I'm thinking more on how I need it now. Just the way you are now. That's the reason for this website to bring awareness to our health.

  • Hey Fred, I write about vitamin K on my website and I feel as though it's the lost vitamin. There's always talk about every other vitamin and unless someone is talking about the cereal "Vitamin K" you don't know much about it.
But it has a lot of benefits that you listed that most folks aren't aware of. It's as important as any other vitamin and more people should be aware of what benefits it provides and the foods you can consume to get it.
What's the DRA of vitamin K for each individual?

    • Thanks, Rob for your comment. Yes, it is the forgotten vitamin but even if you talk about to them they still can't image the benefits of it. The good thing about it is that some people will take advantage of it and that's worth it all.

  • Hey Fred,
Thank you the great information in the article. As someone who is actively trying to eat healthier, information like this is priceless. I also have Alzheimer's disease in my family as it has affected both of my grandparents to varying degrees. Knowing that this can hep stave that off is a huge help.

    • Thank for the comment, Diego, eating healthy is the place to start for our bodies to feel better almost immediately. Taking the right vitamins and supplements with exercise will help our body for Alzheimer's.

  • Hi Fred
I take Vitamin K from Melaleuca as it has Oligo to help get it into the bloodstream very quickly and I feel great
    Good info here thank you

    • Thanks for the comment, Vicki, I'm glad you found a way to get your vitamin k and hope it is doing good for you. This vitamin should be used just like your other vitamin through food or pill form.

  • Great post and thank you for bringing this forward! I was supplementing with Vitamin K2 supplements and grass fed butter whenever I could afford it (it's expensive in Canada).
I know that it helped me in so many way, and really seemed to help my other supplements (Vitamin D, Magnesium, Krill oil). I think the combination made me better able to absorb UvB rays in summer, so I felt amazing and got a nice tint to my skin without burning, even when out all afternoon in the sun.

    • Thank you for the comment, Irma, and I'm glad to hear you using vitamin K to improve your health. Grass-fed is the best for our health I know that it may be hard to get grass fed sometimes. If we can plan ahead enough we can make that happen by searching our products out and finding the right source. Taking the right supplements should complement each other if not bothered by one. The right amount of sun should give you what you need for your vitamin intake.
