Very thorough and great information everyone can use. This is a great topic I know people that have some mental health issues. You cannot tell them because of hurting them but this is more common than one thinks. I think this is a great article well done.
Thanks for the comment, Marcus, this is some much-needed information that needs to be made more aware of. A lot of times people may have to have a family member or someone close to make a mentally disordered person realize they need help.
Nice read, i think mental illness has become more and more relevant in this day and age. I don't know if it's because everyone seems to busy and don't take time to take care of themselves, or just take a day and just relax and do nothing, anyway you have touched on a lot here and thank you for that.
Robert
Thanks for the comment, Robert, you are right that it has become more relevant this day and time. I believe some of it is due to drugs and things people are taking today. Stress levels have become greater because of the everyday hustle and bustle. This puts a strain on one's mind.
Hello Fred,
Mental disorder is a very complex illness. It affects your whole being and living situation. It is very important to talk about it and not ignore it. I think it is great that you have written about this topic, because if we learn about it, we understand people who have the disorder much better. When we meet people who are behaving strange it may very well be that they have some kind of disorder. So that is good to have in mind, which help us to have patience and understanding for those people.
Pernilla
Thanks for the comment, Pernilla, our mental health is something that has to be taken care of it's our whole life. To make more awareness of it is what has to be done spread the word. Get people talking about it may be just what some people need for them to seek some sort of help. Understanding that is our job.
Great article! Mental health concerns are so prevalent in our society and raising our level of education and awareness is the first step towards making a different. It's also really helpful for people who struggle with one of these conditions and feel alone. The fact is their are not and you've given some great suggestions for help! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the comment, Christina. I agree mental health issues are growing ramped in our day and awareness needs to be brought out. People need help sooner than later. Bringing awareness is the best way to help people to get the help they need.
Thank you for the information, this is a serious topic and we all know somebody who suffers mental illness, and it might even ourselves. Even the relatives to a mental ill person are suffering a lot, specially if it's a suicidal type of mental illness. One big problem is that sometimes the person who is suffering don't want to have help from psychologist or doctor. You can't live a healthy life if you are mentally ill, doesn't matter how fit your body is.
Thanks for the comment, Johnny, your right the mental illness affects the many people besides the one with the illness. They might not realize that they even have a problem and this can be most devastating for the whole family. This may take some trust on their part just to convince them to get help.
