Hi Fred
Scary stuff alright and I never knew about the Keystone virus and how serious it can be
I live in New Zealand so I am not sure if this is contractable here and it would be great to know if it is- Off to do some research
Thank you
Thanks for your comment Vicki I appreciate you reading my post. This is a real serious thing that we have to deal with mosquitoes are everywhere. We don’t know what they are carried in the disease line. Stay protected!
That is creepy, and I hate those bugs big time. But the fact that they can spread disease so quickly is scary. Maybe cancer won’t be a big thing anymore and once its healed something else will come. Scary stuff. Great read for sure.
Thanks, AJ, for the comment. Yeah, we never know what’s coming down the line next in this old world we just have to learn how to deal with it and be safe. But there will be something it seems like there always are.
Hi Fred, Thanks for the information. I have heard of West Nile and Zika but Keystone is a new one for me. Yet another reason to take extra care during mosquito season. We use a combination of sprays, a Skin-So-Soft pump spray for when the critters are not too bad but switch over to one of the more powerful Off sprays later in the evening.
Thanks for the comment, Sanders, Skin-So-Soft works got a bottle sitting on my porch. But organic homemade bug spray is the best if you can make it. In one of my other posts, on Mosquitoes and Ticks, it tells a little bit about how to do that this on the website.
Thank you for posting this. Very informative and helpful. Wasn’t as familiar with the Keystone Virus. West-Nile Yes! But not Keystone. This is the time of year for it too. There has already been a reported death due to West Nile this year not far from where I live. It ended in death. Very serious. 🙁
Thanks, Robert, for the comment. All the mosquito-borne viruses are very serious and should be taken that way. I urge everybody who is going to be outside to use repellent to be on the safe side. Preferably homemade with natural products.
Thanks for the information, we all should be aware of viruses that are serious to our health and for babies and elder people as well, it is good to have this info. you have here, so thank you.
Thanks for the comment, Clifford, this is good information to know because mosquitoes are everywhere. We should be safe and use a repellent even on little ones and the elder. Use a natural repellent at that.
First time I’ve heard this kind of virus. Is it widespread or cases only available in some countries?
Thank you for the information. Nice article.
Thanks for the comment, this is a new virus just been discovered a few years ago a case in Florida. Not too much is known about it except it comes from mosquito bites. I think we will hear more about it as time goes on.
Just when you thought it was safe to go near a mosquito again..lol. The problem with all these viruses and infections is that they all tend to have similar symptoms! I have never heard of the keystone virus before I read your post so you did bring this to my attention. All this is very scary indeed. If its not one virus, its another one. You really can’t be too careful these days. Hopefully, we will all take note and be very careful and use those bug repellents whenever we think we might be in danger. I think you’re right to point out the ways we can help our bodies fight this virus and perhaps most viruses such as boosting the immune system with vitamins and minerals. Eating healthy is also an important thing and getting into this habit will protect you from many viruses and diseases as well. You have a good resource here, keep it up!
Thank you, Dwyan, for your comment. I know what you mean about viruses and all types of sicknesses that pop up today. We can get a sickness and not even realize that they are a danger around. It’s best to be safe than sorry so we need to protect ourselves always and in the healthiest ways.
Hello Fred,
Very interesting to read about the different kinds of viruses spread by mosquitos. It really sounds frightening, as there isn’t much we can do to when it has come so far that we have gotten bitten by those tiny insects.
It’s the first time I heard about the Keystone virus. I see it is really not long ago since they discovered it. Seems like there are more and more different kinds of viruses around now. The climate is getting warmer and warmer in the northern hemisphere and it makes me really worried that the dangerous viruses are being spread further up in the north.
Yes, we better boost our immune system with plenty of healthy nutrients and enough sleep. Thanks for your wise advice, Fred.
Pernilla
Thank you, Pernilla for your good comment. This is something fairly new and you know it is really scary if you get to thinking about all the things that are ahead of us. We better make sure we prepare for them with our own repellent and supplements.
